예비군 준비물 (feat. 동원훈련, 동미참훈련, 일정 조 방법) Reserve army preparations (feat. Mobilization training, Dongmi Cham training, schedule preparation method)

reservist preparations. Did you guys know? As the day now enters June, one or two of my acquaintances go to reserve army training or have already gone. I will also go to reserve army training in June. All South Korean men must serve in the military and fulfill their national defense obligations, and even after being discharged, they must participate in reserve forces and civil defense training for a set period of time. Today, we are going to learn about the meaning of the reserve army and preparations for the reserve army.

What is Reserve Army?
It is a military organization that trains and prepares selected or appointed citizens in case it is necessary to mobilize additional troops in times of war, natural disasters, and other urgent situations.

Most of the troops that make up the reserve are normally civilians and do not retain military status when not called up to the reserve.

Although it seems similar that general Korean men become soldiers when the state mobilization order is issued and reserve forces are called up when the reserve force mobilization order is issued, citizens managed as reserves, unlike general conscription, have their personal information and training details provided by the state in advance. It is possible to mobilize as a much more systematic and useful military organization than conscripted troops because it has already been secured and has already completed the appropriate position and unit organization.

formation of reserve forces
Reserves are formed from the year following the year in which one is discharged. (All over May 23 > 24 reserve forces) Also, if you are discharged in January, the reserve mobilization will not be convened during that year.

For this reason, you can often witness situations in which people who have been in the military later than themselves and who are in the reserve army are motivated.

Reserve army schedule inquiry
It is simple to look up reserve army schedules. In my case, notifications came through text messages on my smartphone, and when I searched for “reservists” on the portal site, I was taken to the official site. As shown in the attached picture, if you click My Training Information > Training Information, you can easily find out when the date is and where the training ground is. there is. In addition, since the command letter is also sent by e-mail, it is easy to check within it.

reservist preparations
1. Identification (resident registration card, driver’s license, passport, national license)
An identification card is one of the essential preparations to prove that you are yourself. Representatively, there is a resident registration card. However, if you do not have a resident registration card or have lost it, you can replace it with a driver’s license, passport, or national license, so please refer to this point.

2. Notice of summoning for mobilization training
Access the Military Manpower Administration homepage, click Civil Service as shown in the picture > Click Mobilization/Reserve Forces, and click the Military Manpower Mobilization Call Notice as shown in the third picture to view and print. In addition to this, you can search mobilization training dates/transportation, directions, and request for postponement.

3. Account number in your name
In the case of an account number, there is no need to print out a separate copy of the bankbook, and during training, you are instructed to write the account number, so you can write it down at that time.

4. Bring seasonal clothing
Although summer is approaching, you may catch a cold due to the large temperature difference between day and night, so it is recommended to bring a field jacket or extra clothes to wear when sleeping.

Other reserve army preparations (*important)
1. Sunscreen
As summer approaches, the sunlight is getting stronger, and when you are training outdoors, your face is exposed to the sunlight. Since the skin is directly exposed to sunlight, sunscreen is essential to protect the skin.

2. Auxiliary battery예비군 준비물
According to an acquaintance, there is a very high probability that even if you bring a charger, you will not be able to use it because there are not enough outlets. Also, since the training is for 2 nights and 3 days, it is better to bring an extra auxiliary battery when going home or returning home.

3. Body wash and clothes, towels
Body wash and shampoo are not prepared separately in the training ground, and you must also bring your own towel. Also, in the case of clothes, you need to change into sweaty clothes while training, or wear more because the day is cold, or prepare clothes that you can sleep comfortably when you sleep.

So today, we looked at preparations for the reserve forces, how to view training schedules, how to apply for postponement, and other necessary preparations. Reserve army training is a must for Korean men. I hope you can refer to today’s article and take care of your preparations so that you can have a comfortable and safe training without being disadvantaged on the day of training!
