And be sure to mark yer calendars for the 7th annual Houston Hot Sauce Festival as it sails in to port September 16 and 17 at the Houston Farm & Ranch Club, Houston, Texas. The theme of this year's festival is Pirates of the Chili Coast, and there be booty worthy of a king's ransom. 110 merchants will have a treasure trove of hot sauces, salsas, chips, dips jellies, spices and pepper loot. Check out award-winning exhibitors competing for the People's Choice awards.
Proceeds benefit www.stehlin.org. From its founding in 1969, the Stehlin Foundation for Cancer Research has made human cancer the single focus of investigations conducted in its research laboratory. The team of Ph.D.s, research technicians and other laboratory staff limit investigations to areas that can be applied directly to improving the treatment of patients with cancer. In this, the Stehlin Foundation is unique among cancer research facilities in the United States.

The Waukegan Yacht Club has generously offered to sponsor this event. Halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee this swank venue is the ideal place to join in with our friends for live music by Bounding Main, appetizers, cash bar and a chance to pick up a copy of "Lost at Sea."
The club has decided to team up with our release party and is having an open house for all of their members and local guests. There will be a wine tasting that our guests are welcome to drop into while club guests will be free to come mingle with the Mainiacs!
