I've said it once, I'll say it again, you easily have the most SA Sparrow costume around. I think the new sash is a definite improvement (sorry holo ), a subtle difference yes, but I think it does have more of that vibrant color that Jack's sash has.
The only thing I'd say is that the vest looks a bit too blue to me, should be more faded and dirty imho (just a wee bit though, not too much)... but being how bloody awesome your costume is it's pretty much an irrelevant point. _________________

To quote Indiana Jones, "It belongs in a museum!!!!"
Curious about your red and blue skunk beads on the right hand side short dangle......is it just the flash that turned it blue or is it really blue? If blue you may want a black skunk bead. They go for about $4.00 and up on The Bay.
Other than that Welcome to the OCD Recovery Group....you too suffer from Obsessive Costuming Disorder!!
We look forward to your Mad Hatter costume next! _________________

Your costume is looking incredible, Cristian.
Obviously a man with no fear when it comes
to weathering! No one has worked harder than
you to get this thing so SA!

That would be AWEsome, mate!
I know the method: grab handful of afro kinky hair, lightly spray with glue, then roll between hands. But, when I roll mine, they aren't "fuzzy" like yours. They end up more solid and smoooth.
Am I using too much glue??? Any less and they won't roll. Is there another step you doing, such as brushing them a bit? _________________ ~T.J.~

After going back to this thread numerous times and drooling over the finest details of Cap.CristianSpa\rrow's costume and sending him questions.....I have embarked on distressing my frock coat!
I have to admit, it was hard to make those first few distresses, but am glad I have started. I will take pics when done! It is slow work, but you have to be careful as not to destroy to deep!
Thanks for the info Cap.CristianSpa\rrow _________________

Like wise.... I continuously keep coming back and looking at these pic's in amazement! Tis a thing of beauty and I thank that man who has spent the time, money and dedication into making this a true SA costume.
A true inspiration to work on my own costume and try (and I say try as I believe I'll never be able to match Cristians) to get somewhere near the quality!
Cheers for the pic's of your SA Jack Sparrow mate.

He makes all his own stuff pretty much, even his woven sash, everything is so cool! He meant what he said about ACME. He pretty much doesn't buy from anywhere we would get our inventory from. _________________ Mediocre impersonations since September 2009 and getting much more better.... Cristian votre costume est étonnante. J'ai vu de nombreux costumes et la vôtre est la meilleure de toutes. Votre souci du détail est génial et cela se voit dans la qualité de votre travail. Bonne chance à vous. _________________

Think this is what it says matey.
"Cristian your suit is astonishing. I saw many suits and the yours is the better one of all. Your detail concern is inspired and that sees itself in the quality of your work. Good luck to you." |
