The Grand Arrival of the Lady Washington (famous for her appearance in the movie, "Pirates of the Caribbean") and Hawaiian Chieftain includes free dockside tours. To reserve a sail: 800-200-LADY. The call is out to all pirates to come and celebrate the coronation of their beloved Pirate Queen, Scarlett Harlott! This regal event will take place aboard the oldest active sailing ship in the world, the Star of India! The ship will remain dockside for the duration of the event so ye won't be needin' your sea legs! Come dressed in your pirate best! Featuring the piratical music of: The Pirates Charles. The Dread Crew of Oddwood, Dannicus Live, Pirates of the Black Swan, with Swashbuckling Performances by the "Pirate Adventure Fight Team"! Must be 21 or over. Buy tickets through the above website. Playing off of the rich maritime and privateer history of Fells Point, this fifth annual event celebrates privateers, pyrates, wenches and swashbucklers with activities for scallywags of all ages:
2009 is going to be our best year yet. Returning again this coming year are the Brigands, Captain Thomas Flint, Valhalla Pirates and the Living History Camp. Scarlett Harlott and Talderoy will be there with Pirates Magazine. There will be activities with the Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Museum and plans are in the works for a special event the evening of April 17th so make sure you book your rooms early.

April 16th through 25th, 2010: 28th Anniversary Conch Republic Independence Celebration
Key West, FLORIDA
In 1982 Key West and the Florida Keys seceded from the United States as a response to Border Patrol check points causing 17 mile long lines. The schooner Western Union attacked the Coast Guard cutter in the harbor with stale Cuban bread and conch fritters. The Conch Republic then surrendered to the U.S., and demanded foreign aid (they are still waiting). Now every year Key West celebrates their independence with a reenactment of the Great Sea Battle, followed by a Pirate's Ball, and lots of other fun events. April 22nd through May 2, 2010: Buccaneer Days
Corpus Christi, TEXAS
Carnival, Pirates of the Caribbean Water Show, fireworks, parades, illuminated night parade, stadium show. Pirates sail into Corpus Christi Bay and capture the Mayor at City Hall. Spectators are invited to the Corpus Christi City Marina as the Pirates make the Mayor "Walk the Plank" to kick off the Buc Days festivities (April 22).

April 27th through May 9th, 2010: 53rd Annual Contraband Days
Lake Charles, LOUISIANA
Come join Jean Lafitte and his rowdy Buccaneers as they sail in, capture the city, seize the mayor and make her walk the plank. Also parades, concerts, bath tub races, crawfish raves, etc. This is the second largest festival in the state of Louisiana. A bank Holiday weekend of swashbuckling fun, music and piratical antics to suit all ages. A world record attempt: Most pirates in one gathering. We broke the world record at the 2009 festival, be part of our attempt to break it again in 2010! To take part your costume must consist of:-
Pirate hat or bandana/kerchief
An eye patch
A sword
Appropriate trousers and shirt / waistcoat or dress
The Aargh factor:- Sea shanty competition:- listen and sing along to the old songs of the sea. There will be live bands playing at various evening venues around the town.
