Submision Guidelines
All submissions should follow these guidelines:
As much as is practical, writers should follow accepted news style in articles.
Submitted articles should be timely and relevant to the focus of this site: the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise, Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean attractions, or pirate lore and history in general.
We prefer writers with journalism experience but will consider any well-written article. Sources used or quoted should be available for verification purposes (telephone number and/or e-mail address) whenever possible. We prefer previously unpublished work but will consider reprinting relevant, previously published items with proper permissions.
A byline and a brief biography of the author will be applied to all submissions unless we are directed otherwise by the author.
We reserve the right to edit for grammar, spelling, clarity, factual correction or any other reason we deem necessary.
LENGTH
Short articles may be 200-500 words. Features may be 750-1100 words.
COMPENSATION
At this time, we are unable to pay for published items. You may, however, feel free to use the published item in your professional portfolio.
You may rewrite and resell your articles to other sites, but be aware that we reserve the right to use an article or portions thereof in any of the following:
